Dr. Anne Davies has authored and co-authored numerous multi-media resources and books, including the best-seller, Making Classroom Assessment Work (now in a Second Edition) the Knowing What Counts series (which offers practical ways to involve students in their own assessments), and The Facilitator’s Guide to Classroom Assessment (K-12). Her newest projects are a recently published two-book series for leaders, Leading the Way to Making Classroom Assessment Work and Transforming Barriers to Assessment for Learning, a two book series for high school teachers called, Classroom Assessment: What’s Working in High Schools and a multi-media resource titled, Workshop-in-a-Box.
With more than 30 years’ experience, she has worked in a variety of roles including classroom teacher, school district coordinator, department of education planner, school administrator, and university instructor. Dr. Davies is a best selling author and highly regarded keynote presenter. As a professional development consultant, she has worked with educators at every grade level throughout Canada, the United States, and other countries. She earned her doctorate in education from the University of Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada.
